hello - were the nuclear family. weve had roots in glasgows electronic music scene for a while, and weve released music separately in the past, under a variety of names, but none of that is too important. for the past year or so, we’ve been shacked up in a tiny southside studio making house and techno that we hope will stand the test of time.

will to be well is the new studio album by dalhous, their second for blackest ever black. this double-lp reflects writer-producer marc dalls continued interest in the life and arcana of r.d. laing, but also alludes to more universal and enduring mysteries: the relationships between body and mind, illness and wellness, the physical and the metaphysical.

we are particularly proud to bring you this 2xlp based on unreleased tapes recorded in 1975, way before mariannis first lp back in 1980! after 2 years remodelling the archives at jeangérards studio, they now deliver a brand new 75 minutes album, obviously not abided by any hype. not only does the music remind such bands like popol vuh or any grm act (where marianni taught himself), but also 90s artists like massive attack, boards of canada or even moby. although each track fills one side of the vinyl like in the 70s, you can listen to the detailed samples. check for instance a3 b5 c2 d1 and d2.

h45 sees manchester s tomson (freerange) & eddie leader (hudd traxx) colloborate with chicago legend chez damier. this project has been in a long time in the making and came about when chez met eddie at his house & techno night content manchester. chez was at the start of his comeback and they were introduced by mutual friend joshua, a former prescription and hudd traxx artist. the meeting resulted in chez becoming good friendswith tomson & leader and laying down some vocals in the studio for the manchester pair. h45 is a new catalogue number for the hudd traxx family

superb 12” reissue featuring three of trinidadian soul legend billy ocean’s greatest dancefloor tracks from the early 80s. side a features the six and half minute special disco version of ‘stay the night’ - a bass-heavy grooving funk monster with punchy horns and billy’s smooth vocals over the top. flip over for big frankie knuckles play ‘nights (feel like getting down)’, a pedigree jazz-funk cut often considered one of his finest. and last but not least is the long 12” version of the massive disco classic and studio 54 staple ‘are you ready’. with every track a guaranteed floorfiller, don’t miss this chance to own them all on one loud-pressed 12”.

second release of the gost zvuk label, strictly focused on the contemporary russian electronic scene. this joint was made by aem rhythm-cascade also known as dada ques and many other monikers. locked in his studio in st. pete he built his path from a beatmaker to a fundamental composer exploring the acoustics, sound synthesis and sampling techniques. it is hard to relate this music to a certain genre, but you can definitely hear the quality and deepness, spiced with the original slavic touch. simple and raw these multilayered symphonies bring out the new breed of russian composers backed up by their prolific heritage.

the album is featuring their production as well as compositions. with instrumentations by tenor and beats procured from the vintage gear of jori hulkkonen in his turku studio, alppihouz by willis, the album has a warm feeling and yet sufficiently exciting for the electronic house heads. there are plenty of string pads, flutes and flute pads, etc to prick up your ears. cola&jimmu once again capture the genuine, old school sound.

>i am ok<, reads the title of the new album by the berlin-based producer, dj and label-owner oliver koletzki. the heading0s ambiguity is, of course, deliberate: theres a deeper meaning hidden behind the humorous facade that is chrisse kunsts hand-drawn cover, which depicts an unadorned thirteen-year-old oliver sporting nerd glasses and a striped jumper: i am oliver koletzki, raw and authentic. because musically, on his fifth studio album, oliver koletzki looks towards the unaffected freshness of back in the day, and thus, consciously returns to his roots.

after the highly anticipated release of his third studio album decay, efdemin presents the first part of a remix series featuring his favourite producers. bristols underground hero asusu inflates the reduced album opener some kind of up and down yes with deepest bass and beautiful scapes to the max in a true photek-style. last years control by staffan linzatti was one of the favourite constants to be played in every efdemin or lawrence set. luckily his version of solaris is another epic hymn here with futuristic enhancements of the third kind.the most extraordinary piece on decay versions part 1 is the borderland states rework of parallaxis. efdemins studio-mate john gürtler recorded that beauty with adding acoustic instruments only and sounds like a meeting of moondog with wim mertens.

luckyme are very proud to present the ‘rosario ep from s-type.s-types rise started in spring 2012. emerging, gleaming and show-stopping from rustie’s seminal bbc essential mix was a track called ‘billboard’ from a new producer that was part of the luckyme family as far back as his teenage years. the track had soundcloud and blog commentators looking around for the hugest most galactic superlatives for this ‘superhero’ music. as skyscraping as the biggest us hip hop instrumentals but born of the ferment of glasgow’s world-wowing club world, it made it into end of year ‘best of’ polls as well as the dj sets of rustie, tnght,and benji b. s-type aka 27 yo scot bobby perman started getting recognised down the shops glasgow. he was catapulted onto a 30 + date us tour and found himself in the studio with kindred spirits araabmuzik and baauer. there were rumours of national electronic goods adverts in south korea and s-type tracks in the running for inclusion on drakes nothing was the same album. on 19th sept 2013, the buzz started all over again as luckyme family member Éclair fifi dropped a new s-type tune ‘rosario’ on her bbc radio 1 in new djs we trust show. now luckyme can announce the wait is over. lm017 aka s-type’s ‘rosario’ ep is coming out on 16/6/2014. ‘rosario’ sets the scene with a 2 min intro called ‘outside (inside)’, featuring rustie and yc the cynic, a rapper from hunts pont, the bronx that xxl called ‘one of the most promising artists in recent years’, the complex wordplay sounding perfect over bobby’s wide screen arrangement. ‘franco’ is a fierce club banger with plenty of his signature chord work. ‘lost girls’ stunts and fizzes in the way only an s-type track can. for the outro ‘inside (outro)’, bobby’s sweeping instrumental sets the scene for long island mc (and one time flipmode squad member) roc marciano, who sharply describes the beat as ‘historic’. s-type addicts, he’s back. early dj support from hudmo, kode 9, baauer, joker, rl grime and jackmaster.

myako and vincent vidal, side by side behind the dj booth, together in the studio - finally united on a record! they already let their mark on the new techno stage thanks to their powerful and deep set. they definitively wrote the catalog seconde in dazzling style, a trace of techno ink, some black on a modern white for a galactic sec003. because they think about you, myako invited his friend irakli in order to warm up the heart of the record and vincent asked larry byndon from sonotown for a superb closing. planck time ep, a key work, will be, from now on, played on a loop by those who will appreciate.

nice price deal !!! moonlite bunny ranch is a saxophone player and two dj/producers, born from the spine of the dark jazz ensemble macelleria mobile di mezzanotte: freeform techno with improvised patterns and no real clue where the music would go, like a rough jazz band playing slow techno. their first effort, downer, is a 3-track ep combining analog synthetizers, digital effects, saxophone, hang drum. mixed at the subsound studio in rome by luciano lamanna and mastered by andrea merlini, downer gets inspiration from the illegal brothels in no mans land in the south of the united states, the jazz funerals in new orleans, the goat and the old lady.

mystical and proper techno! -marbacka- is a song originally written and composed by marbacka for one of their side projects, -the marbacka side project-. it was later made famous by another recording artist, who covered the song and released it as the second single from hen second studio album. however, not until this artist recorded and produced the version along with $ it become a worldwide hit. a music video, which has been described as iconic, was shot and received heavy rotation. its feelings explore an abandoned lover s point of view. on this special edition -marbacka- is surrounded by previously unreleased material and reworks.

this release sees ante perry team up with a host of names in his very own studio in dortmund. first up belgian artist maxim lany is the first to accompany him in a deeply warm number named honigmitmais , a track possessing a sullen resonating sub-bass and romantic piano stabs with male vocal coos scattered throughout. xtc1 with german artist dirty doering then shifts the mood, dominated by a low-end unmistakably perry with the addition of pitched down vocals and eerie atmospherics make for a trippier track altogether.

the us producer recently joined the ranks of talent residing in berlin and its evident the european techno capital is having a subtle sway on his sound on the basis of this apotheke ep, most notably the title track. theres a sense of driving momentum wedged deep in the sonic dna of this track, complemented well by a low slung bassline and airy synth melodies. elsewhere huertas sometime studio sparring partner urulu adds some percussive flex to the pulsating swing set, whilst kingsleys groove swerves the sound back towards deeper house and is apparently named in honour of a friends cat. glenn astro of the tartelet crew ends the release with a wonderfully bumping take on the track.

live techno-tanzband trio elektro guzzi are set to release their new studio album observatory via berlin based record label macro. from their 2010 s/t debut album and 2011 follow up parquet (hypnotic, near kosmische reverberations - clash) elektro guzzi have taken their man machine live show of bass, guitar, drums around the world, from landmark clubs like fabric and berghain to major festivals roskilde, sonar and mutek.

when chateau flight was approached to participate to this live project of covers of terry riley, together with le cabaret contemporain, they immediatly said yes. it was the occasion to play great music from a majeur influence of them, and also to play it live with some great musicians. the live experience went so great that they decided to go in the mythical vogue studio (around paris), to record it. the idea was to have a full live take, no edits, to capture the magic of the improvisation. cabaret contemporain is 2 prepared double basses, 1 drummer, 1 guitar player, 1 prepared piano. chateau flight(i:cube and gilb-r) providing the electronics sounds and the mixdown here is the result.

nice price deal !!! free usa is the first full-length album by protect-u, the washington, dc-based duo of aaron leitko and future times records co-founder mike petillo. the record was written, recorded, and mixed throughout 2013 at protect-us home studio and mastered by matt colton at alchemy mastering. the tracks on free usa were jammed into being and then laser-cut into exact shapes. on their two future times eps - double rainbow and world music - leitko and petillo poured layers of ambient drift onto nearly-steady house foundations, creating long and propulsive zone-outs.

dachshund was born and raised in geneva, switzerland. he got his first introduction to music in the 90 s, playing guitar in reggae bands. that was the beginning of his long lasting love story with dub music. he produced his own dub music in the following years, at the same time learning about every piece of studio equipment. with his roots in dub music, dachshund first experimented with electronic music in 1997, producing his own jungle and drum n bass tracks. his music turned more into house and techhouse and was released on several imprints while playing live sets all over the world. we give him a warm welcome to the 8bit family!

wolfram says: i started to record the track cant remember when i was in africa and some riots happened in egypt in 2013. it was a weird time so it turned out to be a dark tune with robotic vocals. i recorded the vocals for the track talking to you when i was on tour with andy butler in the hotel room on my macbook air. basically its him saying this beat is talking to you and i recorded some burp sounds on the flight and train home. i invited him to my home studio to change the demo vocals, but he felt asleep on the chair next to me. so, i thought maybe i should just the use the demo macbook vocals.

nice price deal !!! xenogears is the name of the first studio project of marieu and lucretio, also known as the analogue cops. with this moniker they released a bunch of seminal techno cuts on the first chapters of their restoration imprint, back in 2007. tracks which were played by legends as anthony shakir, claude young and the suburban knight. now the xenogears are back with their first album *lost artemis*, showcasing their distinctive fast, detroit-inspired hardware techno. the album features a collaboration with their usual collaborator nomadronin (with whom they run the label bratha) and with the talented producer known as objekt. all the tracks are characterized by a strong fascination for hi-tech synthesizers and rusted vintage gears, a fast pace, and a minimal approach to live mixing. they have explored the subterranean territories between post-atomic noises and apocalyptic breakbeats, finding a way to equate machines with funkiness in an open battlefield.

bushwick17 is a project by costanza francavilla and alex infascelli. it is a 17 minutes improvisation session, recorded in bushwick on a summer afternoon - with no additional edits, mixing or efx. the idea is based on both artists s obsession with the number 17: the concept was to freely capture 17 minutes of their day together, without any thought before the act or any extra sound manipulation after the act. costanza placed 2 mics on the floor in the middle of the room - facing the wall - and played synthesizers while merging herself with dreamlike vocals into ambient floating textures. alex turned on a fan that was abandoned in the studio, placed the electric guitar in front of it, creating ethereal drones, and moving from guitars atmospheres to abruptly exploding yet sultry drums patterns. the result is an hypnotic sonic journey into an indefinite condition of space and time.
